Our TeamFamily Medicine Leadership
Our newest endeavor is the Family Medicine Leadership track. This track grew from our residents' initiative to expand their training experiences beyond the examination room and the hospital bed. Our department acknowledged the value of self-learning and self-exploration within the curriculum. We decided to augment this venture with additional resources through a grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to provide guidance in channeling activity into achievement and to harness passion into purpose.
We are excited to welcome our inaugural class of interns for this track in 2011. Residents within the track will the opportunity to work closely with the offices of health policy groups, elected officials, and the University of California. They will embark on a journey to strengthen their skills and resolve to raise the level of care they can provide for their patients and their communities.
