Francisco J. Garcia-Ferrer

Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Garcia-Ferrer specializes in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery. As chief of the eye section at the VA Sacramento Medical Center, Dr. Garcia-Ferrer is involved in advanced cataract surgery techniques, corneal transplantation, and the medical management of glaucoma and retinal diseases. His UC Davis practice focuses exclusively on keratorefractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK.

Dr. Garcia-Ferrer's research interests have included the development of molecular techniques to diagnose corneal infections. Current interests include developing new strategies to improve patient access to care and clinic efficiency.
