Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

Welcome to the UC Davis Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. The UC Davis Medical Center is proud to have a leading program for the medical and surgical management of complex epileptic disorders. The program is led by professor Masud Seyal in the Department of Neurology and assistant professor Dongwoo Chang in the Department of Neurological Surgery. Other specialists provide excellent support and a wide array of services in clinical neurophysiology, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, child neurology and nuclear medicine. The program provides a state-of-the-art, three-bed inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit, high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET). Research facilities in the basic neurosciences are housed at the Center for Neuroscience on the Davis campus.
