2018 Latino Film Festival

2018 Latino Film Festival – the Discovery of New Voices from Latin America and Spain!

Featuring 8 of the most acclaimed, recently released movies, the goal of the festival is to engage community members, students and staff in discussions about different regions, customs, political views, gender and orientation. The festival will take place Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th at the Education Building (4610 X Street, Sacramento, CA 95817). Movies will be screened in Auditorium 1222 on Friday, Feb 23rd and Auditorium 2222 on Saturday, Feb 24th.

Aside from showcasing contemporary films from different regions of Latin America and Spain, the festival will also feature live music, dance performers and community vendors! There will also be raffles and a silent auction, so come out and enjoy the festivities!

Free and open to the public, all films will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles. Of special interest, the festival is highlighted by 7 female filmmakers and 2 movies featuring the Afro-Latino experience!

UCD Health Principles of Community Event

We are excited to celebrate the Principles of Community (PoC) on Wednesday, February 28th from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Betty Irene Moore Hall first floor lobby area.

This year our new Chancellor, Dr. Gary May, will join in the festivities and address the celebrants at 12:00pm.
