Racial Healing Circles

Racial Healing Circles: Share your stories about race, culture, color and more to promote healing

Share your stories about race, culture, color, language and class to promote healing at a series of Racial Healing Circles, presented by the UC Davis CTSC Community Engagement program and its Research and Education Community Advisory Board.

The workshops -- scheduled for Dec. 21 and Jan. 18, 2018 -- are modeled after activities organized by Attitudinal Healing Connection, an Oakland-based organization devoted to building strong, healthy communities.

The events, held on the UC Davis Sacramento campus, are funded with a 2017 UC Davis Diversity and Inclusion and Innovation grant. They are free and open to all. Dinner and reserved parking included.

UC Davis Campus Community Book Project

The UC Davis Campus Community Book Project explores the intersection of sexual orientation and racial identity. In Redefining Realness, Janet Mock provides the gift of her vividly
written memoir of growing up and being transgender (a person whose gender identity does not match the sex they were assigned at birth).
