The UC Davis Medical Center Dietetic Internship begins either the last week of August or the first week of September every year and ends 50 weeks later in August of the following year. The UC Davis Medical Center Dietetic Internship provides interns with greater than 900 hours of supervised practice experience.
The program has a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and interns will spend more than sixty percent of their time providing MNT in clinical nutrition and ambulatory care rotations. Approximately twenty percent of time will be spent in on-site food service management rotations. Most rotations are at the medical center in Sacramento. Each intern’s rotation schedule will vary, however all interns will be required to attend didactic education classes approximately one day per week.
