Philina Lamb, M.D.
Dr. Philina Lamb has joined the Department of Dermatology as an Assistant Clinical Professor, and is a general dermatologist who also will perform cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Lamb completed a six-year, accelerated biomedical program at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, receiving her bachelor’s degree from the former in 1996 and her M.D. from the latter in 1998. At Albany Medical College, Dr. Lamb was involved in investigating the pathophysiology of lichen sclerosis et atrophicus in women. She also wrote several articles on topics in dermatologic surgery. Dr. Lamb completed her internship and dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She was a clinical investigator in a Phase III study involving atopic dermatitis, and a co-investigator in a study of the use of wireless Palm technology. She also has completed an immunodermatology research fellowship. |
