Arthur Huntley, M.D.

Dr. Huntley serves as chief of the dermatology section for the Veterans Administration of Northern California. His clinical research background includes evaluation of leg ulcers and pressure ulcers in people with diabetes. Dr. Huntley, however, also does extensive research on the value/utility of Internet and e-mail sources of dermatologic information. He is a pioneer in the field of telemedicine and bioinformatics. Dr. Huntley created the first electronic-only medical journal, medline-indexed Dermatology Online Journal. He also created and runs the 1400+ member dermatology email lists, RxDerm-L and DermChat (freely available, but open to dermatologists and dermatology residents only). He is currently interested in the development of medical databases to stream line medical publishing and the sharing of medical knowledge. He sees patients at both the Veterans Administration Hospital and at UC Davis. Currently, one third of his practice is telemedicine.
