Thomas King, M.D.
Dr. King is the former director of dermatologic surgery at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Mather and the University of California Davis Medical Center. He is one of the most experienced cutaneous surgeons in Northern California. During his career, he has contributed many scholarly publications and educated countless fellows, residents and students. He is currently a Professor emeritus and volunteer clinical faculty member at the University of California Davis Medical Center where he continues to lend his wisdom to another generation of physicians.
Dr. King is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. In his career, he has performed thousands of Mohs surgical cases, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at national dermatology meetings. Dr. King went to medical school at the University of Oklahoma in 1974-78 and then became a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force for five years. He went on to do a dermatology residency in 1984-87 at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and did his Mohs fellowship training with Drs. Tom Stasko and Don Grande at the New England Medical Center in Boston in 1991-92. His interests include cutaneous oncology, surgical treatment of melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer, and resident dermatological surgical training.

Thomas King is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and is mainly interested in surgical management of complicated, non-melanoma skin cancers.
