Daniel Eisen, M.D.
Dr. Eisen is Director of Dermatologic Surgery and head of the Micrographic and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship program at the University of California, Davis. He is board-certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Eisen received specialized training in Mohs surgery and cosmetic procedures during his fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His clinical and research interests include: surgical outcome studies, hidradenitis suppurativa, common and rare types of skin cancers, lasers, photodynamic therapy and patient centered care. In addition, Dr. Eisen has an active interest in medical education. He was selected for and completed the one-year-long "Teaching Scholars" program at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Eisen has performed many thousands of skin cancer and cosmetic procedures. His research has been published in numerous well respected peer-reviewed journals, and presented at national international dermatology meetings. Though conducting research that improves patient outcomes is important him, his biggest passion is patient centered care. Making patients feel comfortable during their procedures and achieving the best possible outcomes is his top priority.
