Rotations and Specialty Clinics
- Consult and inpatient service
- Four to eight weeks of consult rotation per year
- Resident Continuity Clinic
- Two half-days per week
- Dermatopathology
- Four to eight weeks of dedicated one-on-one dermatopathology sign-out per year
- VA Hospital Rotation
- University Clinic Rotation
- Surgery Rotation
- Mohs Surgery and other surgical procedures
- One thousand to two thousand procedures per year – also includes a significant number of grafts (Split or full) and flaps
- Three+ dermatologic surgeons – always one-on-one experience in surgical clinics
- Four to eight weeks of a dedicated surgical rotation each PGY year
- Additional surgical procedures include but are not limited to: TCA peel, Pulsed Dye Laser, Laser Hair Removal, photodynamic therapy, nail surgery, excision, shave, punch and excisional biopsy, botox for rhytides and hyperhidrosis (palms, soles, axilla), regional nerve blocks, wide margin excision, Mohs surgery (as above), full thickness and split thickness grafting, advanced reconstructions utilizing flaps, dermabrasion, non ablative resurfacing, subscission, scar revision, nail plate avulsion, and many others

- Cosmetics clinics and teaching sessions
- Elective
- Two to four weeks of elective in 2nd or 3rd year (electives outside of UCDMC are allowed)

- Pigmented lesions and melanoma (Dr. Burrall)
- Mucosal dermatology (Dr. Fazel)
- Vesiculobullous and collagen vascular diseases (Dr. Maverakis)
- Teledermatology (Dr. Armstrong, Dr. Ely)
- Pediatrics (Dr. Lamb)
- Cosmetics (Dr. Eisen)
- Mohs Surgery (Dr. Eisen, Dr. King)
- Wound healing and ulcers (Dr. Isseroff)
- Rheumatology/Allergy (Dr. Naguwa, Dr. Teuber)
- Quarterly Multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic
- Phototherapy
- Photodynamic Therapy
- Research (not a required rotation)
