  • Baby Steps: Learn the Signs. Act Early.

    Center for Disease Control (CDC) has video “Baby Steps: Learn the Signs. Act Early.” Available for viewing through mobile phone, podcast, and download.

  • Center for Disease Control Parent Portal 
    Organizes information for parents and provides resources from across CDC making it easier for parents to find what they are looking for. A source for credible, accurate information in helping parents raising healthy kids and providing a safe home and community.  A resource for diseases and conditions that can occur, and for developmental milestones and schedules.

  • CA Early Start Program

    California families whose infants or toddlers have or are at risk for developmental delay or disability can receive assessment and early intervention services through the Early Start Program. The CA Department of Developmental Services is the lead agency, and this website provides information on the program, family support centers, and resources in several languages.

  • Infant Development Association of CA (IDA)

    Advocates at the local, state and national level for quality services and provides training and information, including a newsletter and monthly email updates. Focus is on infants and toddlers with special needs and their families.

  • Council for Exceptional Children: Division for Early Childhood (DEC)

    International membership organization dedicated to improving the educational outcomes for children with special needs, birth through age eight. Provides position papers on recommended practices, public policy and advocacy information.

  • National Early Childhood Transition Center (NECTC)

    Investigates and validates factors that promote successful transitions between infant/toddler programs, preschool programs, and public school programs for young children with disabilities and their families.

  • WestEd Center for Prevention and Early Intervention publications

    Brochures, booklets, and books to help parents with understanding signs for concern, early intervention, and parents’ rights.
