Open to all medical students, the program competitively awards fellowships of up to $18,000 per year to pursue rigorous research training (at least 75% effort) encompassing a broad range of basic, clinical or other health science disciplines under the mentorship of a UC Davis faculty member. Projects should be 3 months to a year in duration.

Open to all medical students, the program awards $2,000 stipends to support biomedical research projects, to be conducted with UC Davis faculty mentors.
- Scholarly Projects Option (SPO)

Open to 4th year medical students as one means of satisfying the Special Study Module requirement. The SPO allows students to engage in a focused learning topic of their choosing and work closely with a faculty research mentor during the final 12 months of medical school.
