Program Description
The UC Davis CTSC is part of a bold national experiment to transform clinical and translational research by creating an integrated new academic home. The UC Davis CTSC is therefore designed to be a “self-learning” system informed by carefully planned and ongoing evaluation for each key component of the Center. On-going evaluation is vital to both track successes and identify unanticipated barriers that require innovative solutions. The Evaluation Component of the UC Davis CTSC provides the infrastructure, personnel, and support required to undertake rigorous tracking and evaluation of all CTSC activities. The evaluation team provides evaluation-related technical assistance to each CTSC program and works closely with the CTSC Biomedical Informatics Program to develop web-based capabilities for capturing real-time data pertinent to programmatic activities and functions.
- Identify the objectives, principal measures/indicators, and data sources for each key function of the CTSC.
- Monitor the UC Davis CTSC with collection of appropriate data and provide these data to the directors of each program, as well as the Oversight and Governance and External Advisory Committees.
- Participate in the planning, design, and conduct of the national evaluation including provision of necessary data.
