Message from the Director
On behalf of the UC Davis CTSC, I am pleased to share that our NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award was renewed for another 5-year period. Once one of the 12 inaugural recipients, the CTSC is now among 60 institutions in the national CTSA Consortium. Our Center provides UC Davis researchers with connections, assistance, training, resources, and tools to help translate ideas into products more efficiently.
We place a strong emphasis on outreach, both across the UC Davis campus and to other institutional and community partners throughout the Central Valley. By spreading awareness of our mission, we forge and strengthen connections that serve as resources to support high impact research. In this spirit, I invite you to read and share our new newsletter, CTSC Connections, with others. As a convenience, a link to the online version is provided on the website.
In addition to providing connections to a variety of services to support the research process, the CTSC boasts of eight areas of focus. Each primary program area is now highlighted on our website, which has been re-designed for easier navigation:
- Biomedical Informatics
- Clinical Research Resources and Facilities
- Community Engagement
- Education and Career Development
- Pilot Study Program
- Regulatory Knowledge and Support
- Translational Research
We are proud of our success and continue to fortify our infrastructure to support excellence in research. Please visit our site regularly for news about our progress and announcements of upcoming events.
