RE: Extension of CTN RFP #2008-001 Due Date
During the Friday, January 23 CTN Bidder’s Conference, there was strong interest expressed and extensive discussion by attendees related to formation of consortia among vendors for the purpose of developing a responsive proposal for submission to CTN RFP #2008-001. One of the potential constraints that was identified is the relatively short period of time that remains until the RFP Due Date (February 27, 2009).
CTN management is eager to receive multiple competitive proposals and is eager to provide whatever opportunities can be reasonably extended to potential Bidders in order to facilitate that goal. Consequently, we are actively considering extending the RFP Due Date to permit a greater period of time for Bidders to collaborate and to develop a credible proposal.
The current extension times are under consideration:
In no event will the Due Date be extended for a period greater than 60 days.
We are interested in hearing from potential Bidders regarding: 1) your interest and support of an extension; 2) the minimum useful extension of Due Date that would benefit your proposal development efforts. Please submit all responses in writing to ctn@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu, by Wednesday, 01/28/2009. Based upon the number of responses and the received recommendations for extension, we will make a final decision and post our formal decision no later than Friday, 01/30/2009.
