Polly Butler, D.T.R.

Polly Butler, D.T.R., received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Dietetics from California State University, Chico.

Polly began working at UC Davis Medical Center in 1987 in the Food and Nutrition Department. As a Registered Dietetic Technician (D.T.R.) in the Food and Nutrition Department at UC Davis Health System, Polly supervised the diet office and hostess staff, provided clinical nutrition care to patients and was the system administrator for the department’s computerized Food and Nutrition system.

Polly joined the Center for Professional Practice of Nursing in October 2002. She oversees the management, coordination and implementation of the American Heart Association (AHA) Life Support Programs. This includes CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Polly is actively involved in the Local and National Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) programs with AHA and holds leadership positions in the local community for AHA.

Polly is a member of the American Heart Association (AHA). She currently is Regional Faculty for AHA in CPR, is the Sacramento Working Group Chair for AHA and sits on the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Northern California Committee for AHA. She is also a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
