Kathleen Guiney, R.N., M.N.
Kathleen Guiney, R.N., M.N. received her Master's Degree in Nursing Administration with a clinical specialty in Oncology Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco.
Kathleen has worked with the Center of Nursing Education at UC Davis Health System since November, 2007. Prior to coming to UC Davis Health System, Kathleen worked in the operating room at UCSD and Palomar Pomerado Health in Escondido, CA.
Kathleen began her nursing career in medical surgical nursing in the Bay area before taking a position as the nurse manager of an oncology unit at Harbor, UCLA Medical Center. She continued to work within nursing administration at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, Group Health Cooperative (Seattle), and St. Francis Medical Center (Honolulu).
Over her nursing experience, she has had the opportunity to be the oncology educator at Affiliated Health Services, Mount Vernon, WA and clinical faculty at Seattle University, Seattle, WA. She also participated in nursing research with a focus on Native American Health at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Kathleen is interested in teaching as well as nursing research.
