Karrin Dunbar, R.N., B.S.N.
Karrin Dunbar, R.N., B.S.N. received her ADN from Scacramento City College in 1998 and her BSN from California State University, Chico in 2006.
Karrin has worked for UC Davis since graduating from nursing school. She began her nursing career on the Hematology Oncology/ Bone Marrow Transplant unit. She became a CN III and was responsible for developing unit-based education and precepting new hires. Prior to joining the Center for Professional Practice of Nursing, she was the co-cordinator of the Nursing Skills Lab. In addition to working at UC Davis Medical Center, Karrin has also worked medical surgical per diem for Sutter Health in Sacramento and in the ICU for Sutter Health in Davis.
Most of Karrin's career has been in the acute care setting. She continues to work clinically in addition to her position as a nurse educatior for the Center for Professional Practice of Nursing. Karrin teaches several classes including EMR, preceptor training and nursing documentation.
