    Are diagrams/illustrations simple and clear?
Are diagrams/illustrations near the appropriate text?
Is the paper stock appropriate to the end usage? (Can you write on it easily without smears? If it is likely to get wet, will the paper hold up well?)
Is the format appropriate to the usage?
(If you want the reader to followstep-by-step directions while completing a task with her hands, does the publication lie flat open on the table? If you want the reader to refer to the publication frequently throughout the day, is the entire piece small enough to carry in a purse or pocket?)
How will the publication be distributed? Will it need an envelope or would
a self-mailer be more effective? Will it need to fit standard brochure racks?
Is the logo (if any) used properly?
Are colors appropriate to the patient population and to the message?
Do the colors have an unintended connotation or meaning for readers
of other cultures?)
