Understanding & Sensitivity School (USS): Beyond The Basics
This course will provide an introduction to the language and health system policies related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Participants will gain valuable insights and a strong working knowledge of current LGBTQQI issues and an opportunity to apply the learning in workplace scenario exercises.
- Lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, intersex, queer & questioning issues
- Up to date discussion of health-care disparities and UC Davis Health System efforts to mitigate those disparities
- Viewing and discussion of the critically acclaimed film ‘Gen Silent’
- Upcoming changes in My Chart and EMR.
This class is open to all health system employees including nurses, social workers, other allied health professionals and physicians.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.0 contact hours.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
