Course description

This interactive workshop is designed to provide training for ICU, acute care and outpatient nurses to discuss prognosis and goals of care with patients, families and health-care providers. The course utilizes didactic, group discussion and role play to give nurses tools for critical conversations that occur around serious illness. The workshop was developed at the request of ICU nurses under the auspices of a University of California grant and after the initial pilot, the course is now available for nurses in all patient care has settings.

C.E. contact hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 6.0 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
