Course description

As all departments face increasing budgetary challenges, external sources for funding are ever more crucial. The primary goal of this class is to help improve the nurses’ ability to submit and receive funding for external grants. Areas of discussion include describing the principles of good grant writing, utilizing the CRISP database to improve your grant, identifying ways the CONSORT guidelines can be used to improve the methods section of a grant and identifying priorities NIH reviewers consider in evaluating/ranking grants.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.5 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
