Giraffe: Maintaining a Neutral Thermal Environment
This class is for health-care professionals who care for pre-term and sick infants. Review of homeostatic mechanisms for temperature regulation in infants and the role of a humidified incubator in providing a thermo-neutral environment will be discussed. How to promote optimal developmental care for these infants will be emphasized. There will also be an opportunity for hands-on orientation with an Omnibed to help staff familiarize themselves with the Omnibed’s functions, features and assembly.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 4.2 contact hours.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
