Course description

The Emergency Nurses Association Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is a two-day course designed to provide core level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. Content is presented through lectures and skills stations.

Participants will attend all lectures and skill stations (both Saturday and Sunday). Participants must have the 7th edition of the provider manual (available for purchase) to attend the course.

ENA will issue a card verifying the successful completion of the TNCC. Expiration of verification occurs four years from the first day of the month in which the card was issued.

The TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course Provider Manual 7th Edition is available for purchase through CPPN; the textbook will be sent to participants upon payment. Directions to complete the pre-course modules and a pre-test will be e-mailed to participants approximately 30 days prior to the class date.

Prerequisites and preparation

Only registered nurses will be awarded verification cards. LVN's and paramedics may attend the course for C.E’s.
