Meet a cord blood recipient
Francesca Arnaudo, a three-time cancer survivor, received a public donation of unrelated (non-family member) umbilical cord blood at UC Davis Medical Center in 2005 to treat acute myeloid leukemia.
Today, Francesca is thriving. The 17-year old honors student recently competed and won the title of Miss Junior Teen, Sacramento County.
She is one of thousands of Americans who have benefitted from life-saving cord blood donations.
