The Same Day Surgery Center will be an approximately 12,000 gross square feet building on the medical center campus in Sacramento, California. The project will provide additional inpatient surgical capacity by relocating some of the outpatient procedures and cases currently conducted in the main operating theatre, the University and Satellite Surgery Centers, to a free-standing outpatient surgical building.

The site location for the Same Day Surgery Center is approximately a 1/3 acre parcel of land that is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue and 49th Street. Parking Structure 2 is to the north of the site, with the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center situated to the west. The UC Davis Medical Center Central Plant is across 2nd Avenue to the South.
