Davis Tower Phases IV
Construction Start: March 2004
Construction End: December 2006
Cost: $50.6 million
This project will complete the final four shelled floors of this facility. In Phase 3, the fifth and 12th floors will provide replacement space for the 40-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and 35 GI and pulmonary medical-surgical beds now located in the north-south and east wings. The new NICU on the fifth floor will have 50 beds. Part of the project involves the installation of air-handling systems that will support the remaining shelled floors in the Davis Tower. Phase 3 was completed in September 2005.
Phase 4 will complete floors 10 and 11 to provide additional medical-surgical beds currently in the East Wing and a temporary building north of the hospital. The 10th floor will have 35 trauma beds and the 11th floor will have 35 general medicine beds. Phase 4 completes in December 2006.
