To promote wellness and increase convenience for busy patients and families, UC Davis Health System has expanded their outpatient gynecology and obstetrics services to multiple locations in the Sacramento area.
Each location offers a full array of routine gynecologic and prenatal services for women in all stages of life and health. Physicians are available for appointments Monday through Friday, with times and days varying by location.

"By creating more opportunities and convenience, we hope to make it much easier for women to maintain an appropriate schedule of routine care."

UC Davis obstetricians deliver exclusively at UC Davis Medical Center’s Birthing Center, a 23,000-square-foot facility with waiting areas for visitors, a delivery suite and a newborn nursery — giving the mother the option of having her baby in the nursery, or "rooming-in” where she keeps her baby with her. UC Davis Medical Center provides for a 48-hour stay for all mothers and infants.

Birthing suites are also available at the birthing center. These large, private rooms include upholstered chairs, wood furniture, private showers and a fold-out bed so family members can comfortably spend the night. Mothers who use the birthing suites remain in one room for labor, delivery, and recovery.
