Margie Crandall, R.N., Ph.D., clinical nurse V began her appointment in the center in August, 2006. She is a graduate from the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Family Health Nursing with an area of research interest in child/adolescent pain management. Margie is a pediatric clinical nurse specialist and an assistant clinical professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. As a clinical researcher, she works with nurses and other disciplines to investigate clinical problems to enhance patient care. Research consultation and support include assistance to establish evidence-based clinical practices, literature reviews and problem identification, research design, analysis, and abstract and manuscript development. She chairs the Pediatric Evidence Based Practice Committee, is a mentor for the Frontline Nursing Leadership, and is a member of the American Pain Society.
