Course description

This class is designed for health-care providers who want an American Heart Association CPR card. Course curriculum follows the 2005 AHA science and guidelines for CPR. This class teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages. Class size is limited; please sign up early. Please call to cancel registration if you are unable to attend.

Study materials

Prior to the course, participants are encouraged to study the BLS for Healthcare Providers student manual and complete the written examination pre-test prior to attending the class. A loaner text is available for UC Davis Health System staff. Community participants must purchase their own books per AHA policy. Books for purchase are available from the Center for Nursing Education, UC Davis Medical Center Bookstore or through the American Heart Association.

UC Davis Health System employees & community health-care providers

$45 registration fee and $15 deposit for loaner text. Community participants must purchase their own books. Detailed information provided under course materials. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive refund and will be subject to a $25 service charge.

Parking

Parking is available in lot 25, approximately one block from the Broadway Building on 50th Street adjacent to the M.I.N.D. Institute. Park with a UC Davis parking permit, or purchase a daily permit for $4.
