Course description
Medication errors are on the rise and can be devastating to the patient, family, health-care worker and institution. Medication errors are defined as any recurring event that may cause or lead to an inappropriate medication use or patient harm. This program is intended to increase the awareness of medication errors by health-care professionals and will focus on the medication use process, rather than the individual, in eliminating medication errors. With a collaborative effort, the incidents that can lead to tragedy will be reduced.
This program is appropriate for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health-care providers.
