"War on Pain Updated" for UC Davis Health System physicians

Pain series

Discounted fee on "The War on Pain Updated: Pain Management and the Appropriate Care and Treatment of the Terminally Ill" for UC Davis Health System physicians.

Goal:
To meet the requirement for AB 487 California state law that required California physicians to obtain a minimum of 12 hours of Category 1 continuing medical education credit in pain management and end-of-life. The "War on Pain" course was created to meet this requirement.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education has created this series as an outreach for California physicians. This series was created without any pharmaceuticalsupport. It features UC Davis pain specialists who are faculty physicians in the field of pain and palliative medicine. The program, however, is designed for primary care physicians. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for this series is discounted only for UC Davis Health System faculty, staff and residents for staff development.

Physician Credit:
The University of California, Davis Health System designates these enduring material modules for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Physicians must complete each module to qualify for the 12 hours of credit; there is no "partial credit" allowed for this course. A maximum total of 12-hours credit available for "War on Pain Updated" series.
