Free "War on Pain" for UC Davis Health System physicians.
Goal:
To meet the requirement for AB 487 California state law that required California physicians to obtain a minimum of 12 hours of Category 1 continuing medical education credit in pain management and end-of-life. The "War on Pain" course was created to meet this requirement.The Office of Continuing Medical Education has created this series as an outreach for California physicians. This series was created without any pharmaceuticalsupport. It features UC Davis pain specialists who are faculty physicians in the field of pain and palliative medicine. The program, however, is designed for primary care physicians. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for this series is free for only for UC Davis Health System faculty, staff and residents.
Physician Credit:
The University of California, Davis Health System designates these educational modules for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians must complete each 1.0 hour module to qualify for the hours of credit; there is no "partial credit" allowed on the one hour modules. A maximum total of 12-hours credit available for "War on Pain" series.Links:
