AsthmaDiabetes: Let's Get Started
Let’s Get Started is a 2-hour introductory class for patients newly diagnosed with diabetes or wishing to learn basic diabetes self-management skills. Topics covered in the class include:
- Glucose testing and recording
- Basic nutrition
- Signs of high and low blood glucose
- Benefits of exercise
- Goal setting
The classes are open to UC Davis Health System patients. These classes are offered in the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center (Ellison Building) in Sacramento and UC Davis Medical Groups in Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville, Auburn, Davis, Carmichael and Rancho Cordova. Please note: all classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment is insufficient. In the event of a cancellation, all enrolled individuals will be notified prior to the start of the class.
