Lifesteps® weight management program
Lifesteps® is a weight management program that stresses the importance of diet, physical activity and behavior modification techniques for weight loss. This program consists of weekly one-hour sessions for 12 weeks. Each session helps you to develop skills needed to manage your weight for the rest of your life. Smoking cessation program
Smoking cessation program meets for 10 sessions and focuses on empowering smokers to overcome the addiction. It incorporates many aspects of smoking cessation including behavior modification, nutrition, medications and relapse prevention. Multiple tool and strategies are offered and a multidisciplinary team consults with the group to support each person’s process. The class is offered several times a year. Diabetes nutrition class
This 1½ hour class discusses eating for diabetes, carbohydrate counting, blood sugar goals. It is offered 4th Friday of most months from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Please call (916) 734-6473 to schedule.
Cardiac rehabilitation noon lectures
These 12 weekly classes cover topics related to heart health such as healthy eating, cholesterol goals, and behavior modification. Classes are ongoing, repeating four times per year. The lectures are every Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.-1 p.m. Please call (916) 734-6473 for additional information.
Cafe rehab diet classes
These 12 weekly classes are designed to help you make diet changes to improve heart health. The class emphasizes plant-based and low-fat foods, exercise and behavior modification.
