Easy Breathing class
Easy Breathing is a 2-session class for patients with ongoing lung conditions such as asthma, emphysema or chronic bronchitis. This class is taught by a registered respiratory therapist and covers the following:
- Daily management of your lung condition
- Appropriate use of medications
- Dealing with anxiety
- Responding to respiratory emergencies
The classes are open to UC Davis Health System patients. These classes are offered in the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center (Ellison Building) in Sacramento and UC Davis Medical Groups in Elk Grove, Folsom, and Roseville. Click here for directions to these locations. UC Davis Asthma Network (UCAN) program
The UCAN Clinic provides treatment and education for patients with difficult to control asthma and COPD. UCAN team includes registered respiratory therapists who are nationally certified asthma educators, an allergy professor and two professors of pulmonary medicine, all of whom are “asthmatologists”.
