2 hour interactive class with a nurse and dietitian to assist individuals managing heart failure.

Do More with Heart Failure is a class facilitated by a registered nurse. The class aims to improve self-care for people with heart failure by offering interactive education and discussion.

Topics include: Medications, symptom management, low sodium nutrition, fluids, daily weights, physical activity and overcoming fears.

The classes are open to UC Davis Health System patients and Employees. These classes are offered in the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center (Ellison Center) in Sacramento and UC Davis Medical Group clinics. Please view the class schedule then contact your doctor’s office or call (916) 734-0718 to sign up.

Heart Failure Support Group

The support group will meet as follows:

September 19th from 4-4:45 pm, immediately after the Do More class in Carmichael.
December 17th from 11-11:45 am, immediately after the Do More class in Elk Grove.

Patients do not have to attend class to come to the support group. All UCD patients with Heart failure may participate in the support group.
