When a child is seriously injured or desperately ill, advanced, competent care is of immediate critical importance. That’s when parents and physicians throughout Northern California turn to the UC Davis Children's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Our staff members are dedicated to attentive around-the-clock monitoring and treatment of critically ill and injured infants, children and teenagers up to the age of 18. In addition, our regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides urgent, specialized care for newborn infants.
