Development of treatments for osteogensis imperfecta
Martin, R. Bruce — Orthopaedics
General summary
This project proposes to answer the need for an effective medical treatment for osteogenesis imperfecta, a genetic disorder. We propose to develop such a treatment that would use the drug alendronate to manipulate skeletal development so as to adapt the shapes of the bones to compensate for the weakened tissue that they contain.
