Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Shaikh has expertise in the area of general pediatrics and pediatric nutrition. She leads the Healthy Eating Active Living Telemedicine Program at UC Davis Medical Center. She also provides clinical care at the UC Davis Pediatric Weight Management Clinic, Pediatric Diagnostic Clinic and Lactation Clinic. Her research focuses on improving the quality of pediatric healthcare delivery for children with nutritional issues. She is currently investigating how health information technology can be effectively utilized to enhance healthcare quality.
