Children's Miracle Network, 25 years of making miracles happen…
Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals across North America. Begun in 1983 as an alliance of premiere children’s hospitals, CMN's first fund raising effort was a television special broadcast by 30 television stations and originating from a small studio in Provo, Utah. That first year CMN and 22 hospitals in the United States raised $4.7 million.
UC Davis Children’s Hospital was one of those first 22 hospitals to join the Children’s Miracle Network team, making it the exclusive CMN hospital serving children in our community. UC Davis Children's Hospital is committed to providing the best care for children when they need it and help children reach their full potential every day. UC Davis Children's Hospital is Sacramento's only fully accredited comprehensive hospital for children serving 33 counties extending throughout northern California, western Nevada and southern Oregon.
Today, Children's Miracle Network hospitals treat 17 million children each year for every disease and injury imaginable. Each year, the now 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals impact the lives of more children than any other children's organization in the world. Children's hospitals provide state-of-the-art medical care, life-saving research and preventative education for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Through its year-round efforts to help hospitalized kids, Children's Miracle Network has raised more than $2.2 billion to date, most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time by caring individuals across North America. CMN's founding pledge to keep 100 percent of donations in the area in which they were raised and to put children first in all it does remains at the core of its philosophy.
THANK YOU to all our sponsors and helping miracles happen for our area kids!

Champions Across America, presented by CO-OP Network, is a Children's Miracle Network program that honors remarkable children who have triumphed despite severe medical challenges and are selected for their courage, tenacity and perseverance.
A champion is someone who has won victory. No word better describes what the 17 million children treated in CMN-affiliated hospitals each year have accomplished. But no victory is won alone. Doctors, nurses and therapists provide care and treatment. Families provide love and hope. Donors at every level make possible charity care and vital equipment purchases. Each of these groups and many more championed these children and helped them win life's greatest battle.
The Ambassadors travel to Washington, D.C. to visit the White House and to meet with local and national leaders to raise awareness about the important work performed at children's hospitals and Walt Disney World to participate in the annual Children's Miracle Network Celebration.
Francesca Arnaudo was selected out of nine hospitals here in California to represent the Golden State for 2007. Francesca is a powerhouse of optimism who actively raises awareness of childhood cancer, uses her art to help others heal and shares her story to inspire hope. With your help, we can change other children's lives. Make miracles happen Francesca, along with her family, is a powerhouse of optimism who actively raises awareness for childhood cancer and uses her art to help others heal and share her story to inspire hope.
