Cleft and craniofacial post-surgery sample recipes

Cream of chicken and pea soup
  • 1 jar (4 1/2 ounces) strained chicken with vegetables
  • 1 jar (4 1/2 ounces) strained peas
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Combine ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat until steaming. Puree until smooth and serve.
  • Yield: 2 servings
Beef bisque
  • 1 jar (4 1/2 ounces) strained beef with vegetables
  • 1/2 jar strained veal
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon margarine
  • Combine ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat until steaming. Puree until smooth and serve.
  • Yield: 2 servings
Banana milkshake
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup banana
  • 1/2 cup ice cream
  • Blend two minutes and serve.
  • Yield: 2 servings

Orange freeze

  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • Blend two minutes and serve.
  • Yield: 2 servings
