Admission to the Children's Hospital

When your child is admitted to UC Davis Children's Hospital at UC Davis Medical Center, you will be asked about his or her health history, including past illnesses and any allergic reactions to medications. A nurse will measure your child’s height, weight, temperature and pulse. Your child will then have a general physical exam, which may include other tests.

We will supply a hospital gown, but your child may feel more comfortable in clothes from home—nightgown or pajamas, robe and slippers. He or she may bring a toy, book or other favorite possession. Be sure to label all personal property with your child’s name.
