The Cleft and Craniofacial Program involves far more than the medical professionals and specialists on its team. Volunteers and donors play an important role in patient care and in the ability of the program to respond to the needs of young patients who have cleft and craniofacial problems.

Volunteering

Many volunteers help comfort patients and family members. Others offer clerical support, assist in community relations and outreach programs, fund raising and fund development. Volunteers distribute informational and educational materials, provide technical assistance, prepare and clean treatment areas, transport patients, and assist physicians, therapists and nurses.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy helps to compensate for funding needs that are not underwritten by government grants, insurance reimbursement or other sources. Your gift can help make a difference in the lives of patients with cleft and craniofacial anomalies by enabling our team to offer treatment above and beyond what would otherwise be available.

We welcome gifts from individuals, corporations, charitable foundations and special events. In addition, we encourage establishment of tax-advantaged gift plans through charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities and other plans. Funds are needed not only for ongoing support of the current program, but for development of future endeavors. Potential opportunities exist for advancement of research and development through endowment support.
