Kiwanis Family House
2875 50th Street, Sacramento

Kiwanis Family House is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing temporary housing for families of seriously ill or injured patients being treated at the UC Davis Health who travel at least 35 miles from home to seek medical treatment. Located on the grounds of the Sacramento UC Davis Health campus, the House offers inexpensive lodging. To book a stay at the Kiwanis House, a UC Davis employee who can verify your treatment dates and needs, makes a referral for you. Families are asked for a $50.00 donation per night, although no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay. For information or to request a referral please call 916-734-0823.

Ronald McDonald House
2555 49th Street, Sacramento

Ronald McDonald House provides on-site short-term housing for families who must travel at least 30 miles for medical treatment for their child. The House offers parents and family members of seriously ill and injured children a “home away from home” while their child receives medical care. Families are asked for a $20 donation per night, although no family is ever turned away due to the inability to pay. To request information or a referral to stay at the Ronald McDonald House please call 916-734-5959 and ask to speak with a pediatric staff member.
