General Clinical Research Center (GCRC)
The UC Davis/VA General Clinical Research Center provides an encompassing infrastructure that facilitates patient-oriented clinical research and promotes mentoring of clinical investigators. BIRCS is providing IT strategic planning, IT infrastructure development and hosting of data and applications for the center. More information...
Focus Area E
One of the main tasks for Focus Area E is to provide a health alert network and methods for emergency communication in the event of emergency situtations. FAE critical capabilities include "linking public health and private partners to facilitate exchange of key data, emergency communications, including redudant systems, protect critical data and information systems, secure electronic data exchange." NCI's caIMAGE
BIRCS faculty are engaged in research and development services to enhance the NCI Center for Bioinformatics caIMAGE.
California Electronic Death Registration System (CA-EDRS)
BIRCS has been contracted by the Office of Vital Records of the State of California to design, develop, and deploy an electronic death registration system for the State of California. The system is scheduled for deployment on January 1st, 2005.
