BIRCS personnel
BIRCS is composed of seven faculty with extensive experience and knowledge in various core areas of medical informatics. In addition, faculty have experience in the design, development, and implementation of practical applications (applied medical informatics).
BIRCS faculty are focused on addressing some of the major challenges in biomedical informatics such as improving patient safety with decision support, creating robust data exchange among clinical systems, developing secure distributed public health systems, and improving technology associated with rapid acquisition and storage of biomedical images.
