Alexander A. Kon, M.D.

Clinical/Research InterestsDr. Kon cares for critically ill children in the pediatric intensive care unit at UC Davis Children's Hospital and leads the UC Davis Medical Center Bioethics Consultation Committee. His research interests include the ethics of pediatric practice with special emphasis on informed consent in the care of sick children as well as pediatric research ethics. Dr. Kon is also the Director of Bioethics for the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center, and a national leader in the field of both Preiatric Critical Care Medicine and in Bioethics. Dr. Kon is the editor of the American Journal of Bioethics Primary Research, is a Director of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, and serves on multiple committees of the FDA, NIH, and AAMC. |
