A. Joshua Roberts, Pharm.D., BCPS received his doctor of pharmacy from the University of the Pacific and has completed a general pharmacy practice residency at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Medical Center. Dr Roberts joined the University of California, Davis, Medical Center team in 2007 as a general practicing clinical pharmacist with an emphasis of providing care to patients in internal medicine, medical critical care, and surgical critical care services. He was subsequently promoted to senior clinical pharmacist with a practice emphasis in anticoagulation which includes providing care for patients with complex issues in thromboembolic prevention and management of complex situations requiring anticoagulation therapy. He has additional practice responsibilities in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and thoracic surgery.
Dr. Roberts is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and an assistant clinical professor for the University of California, San Francisco School of Pharmacy. He is currently a member of the UC Davis Medical Center Thrombosis Subcommittee and has served on the UC Davis Medical Center National Patient Safety Goal 3e Subcommittee addressing compliance of anticoagulation therapy.
Dr. Roberts is an active member of American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. He also serves as a peer reviewer for The Annals of Pharmacotherapy and The Journal of Pharmacy Technology.
